One thing that Charleston is known for is their Golden Hour sunsets. Those are something you do NOT want to miss while you are in Charleston and we want to make sure you know exactly where to do to catch one wherever you are in the city!
The cool thing about sunsets in Charleston is that they are never ever the same. Each one has its own uniqueness and beauty to them, which is why they never get old. Here are our top spots for a Sunset!
Station 12 Sullivan's Island
From this view you can see the Ravenel Bridge and the skyline is unmatched. Just take Middle street all the way to the end, take a left at the Church and park in the dirt parking lot. If you want to take a beverage with you for your sunset, pop into the legendary Co-Op Sullivan's Island for a bottle (or 2) of their famous Frose'.
Vendue Rooftop
Vendue Rooftop is a great place to grab a drink and head all the way to the roof top for some of the best views of the Holy City. You will get a 360 view of all of the steeples that are the reason Charleston is dubbed the "Holy City" and as the sun goes down, the best sunset views!
Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge
Park at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park, and from there you can view a sunset from two different places at the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge! If you want to grab a coffee, beer or wine, you can walk towards thePier and stop into their shop to grab whatever drink fits your fancy before the sun starts to go down.
If you need to get some steps in, you can walk the bridge to get the most amazing shots from on top! Alternately, you can take the trail from the park and follow it to the open field in front of Embassy Suites and catch the sunset from there.
Pitt Street Bridge
Lastly, and possibly one of my top favorites is walking the Pitt Street Bridge and watching the sun slowly set. This part of Mt. Pleasant called the Old Village is possibly one of the most charming places in Charleston in our humble opinion. When the sun goes down, the perfect place to go for a celebratory beverage is to head to the Post House Inn just on the other side of Pitt Street.
We are excited for you to catch these beauties for yourself! Once you do, please tag us @allincharleston so we can share in the excitement and the beauty of these Charleston sunsets with you!
